This is predictable down to every beat and even almost every line of dialogue, but it has enough emotional weight behind it to make it work. It's nice to get a character-focused episode that actually works with the journeys the characters have been on so far, and feels true to them rather than just whatever adventure happens to them this week but never really gives them any personal growth.
One glaring omission seemed to be the lack of Naomi Wildman who surely would have been very concerned about Seven. I particularly liked the effect of the cortical node removal/implanting, it looked great.
