They have the same name, and are released almost in the same time.

@hugh_shaw different War Of The Worlds series. There’s a modern version and a historical version, both released at the same time. Just like when they released 3 WotW movies at the same time in 2005.

I was confused too. The one with 8 episodes is nothing to do with the HG Wells story, from what I’ve watched. I actually prefer that show.

This BCC One version isn’t great in my opinion. Best sticking to the one with 8 episodes which is from memory a French & British show.

@hugh_shaw that is the other version. There is a 3-episode (or even 2-episode) mini-series which is set in a more historic timeline and there is a 8-episodes modern-day version.
