White Christmas 1954

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye brighten up the season with the holiday musical White Christmas. When two music producers scout out a sister duo they end up following them to Vermont where they run into their former army commander and decide to put on a show at his inn. Both Cosby and Kaye give good performances and work well as a comedy team. Also, the songs and dances (though contrived at times) are well-done and bring a certain energy and charm to the film. And while it may get overly sentimental at times, it has a positive and an uplifting message. Whimsical and fun, White Christmas is a heartwarming family film.
