We are getting closer. At this point in time said weapon should be nearing completion (we already saw the early stages at the end of RotS but I left the name out intentionally). I really hope we will see it in the show. It's something I am very eager to see. But given the fact that even the Jedi didn't knew about those mega crystals there seem to be quite a lot out there.
