@agnetebu It really isn't that hard and silly that noone got it in the show. Or maybe Amy did and the Captain didn't understand her solution. Amy starts off correctly with weighing 6 and 6. Which ever side is lighter, split 3 and 3 and re-weigh. One use remaining so we have to get a bit clever at this point, but only slightly. Remove one person from the lightest 3 and weight 1 and 1. If the remaining 2 balance it is the one you removed, otherwise it is the lightest of the 2 weighed.
