Finally after two seasons, this is starting to feel like a real Star Trek show. Episodic content set against a large backstory. Far more enjoyable in the four episodes so far than the entire first two seasons.

@x0tt can't agree more! finally the actors/writers got their shit together and the characters no longer run around like hysterical teenagers. it took them a long time to actually nail the balance between the emotionless, cartoonish color coded (red,yellow,blue) startrek of the old to find a more realistic yet still visionary take on it.
also, the plot holes have (for now) vanished (or rather, the story is given (barely) enough time to unfold), burnham's "wild" nature finally fits (a year "alone" explains it nicely) and the technology makes sense (leaping to the future does this).
