Almost passed this one by until I realized it starred Alan Tudyk, who, is a gem as the alien on a mission who gets stranded amongst his erstwhile subjects, (or possible victims...., spoilers Sweetie) and has to adapt and fit in while he tries to complete his task. I Almost turned it off when Corey Reynolds, as one of the few, if only extra melanin possessing folks amidst gallons of Buttermilk insisted in playing the "Big (bad) Black" card every time he opened his mouth. Maybe take a cue from your former Boss Brenda Leigh Johnson, turn up the country charm (but PLEASE turn off the awful "hick" accent) and don't come in so hot that you offend everyone but yourself. But, I overlook his series sins and was rewarded with a very enjoyable pilot.

I agree with @J_345 in that the Sci Fi Channel is NEVER to be trusted with having good judgement as to what it's viewers like, and what is a series worth keeping around. They have cancelled TOO MANY of my favorites to list, often to be replaced by wrestling or re-runs., so, I will watch this with cautious optimism in the hopes we get through at least a full, if not multiple seasons, and, aren't simply left hanging with no explanation.
