@terpar Late to the party here, but it was also made explicitly clear with timestamps that the first batch of episodes happened March 2020 and earlier (i.e. pre-pandemic... for the US at least).
I think we assume that this episode onwards are somewhat 'live' to real-time as they aired (Feb 2021).

All of you are commenting about them finally doing a Covid episode. You know it's possible that they already had the first few episodes made or at least already written before the Covid stuff hit the world. I personally enjoyed how NCIS did it because it's different than how any other show did it.
