The Good Doctor: Season 4

4x10 Decrypt

"I went through every line of code"

On all mashines? Within a few hours?!? On mashines with proprietary software?
I somehow doubt that.

It would be easier to just disconnect them and reinstall the original software, since those kind of mashines are built to work independantly.
If they were never connected to the network, its impossible to install malware anyway.

I am wondering how someone that good never realized, that the backups were encrypted though.
Since you are supposed to keep external backups on tape they can only be encrypted while they are written.
Monthly and yearly backups should be checked, since even without malware, they sometimes don't work properly. (We usually have at least one defect backup per year)

However, as far as IT-representations in TV go, this was a decent one and the Lia-Focus did good. Very happy they didn't continue with the SJW-bullshit (which is why i pushed the viewing of this episode)

Also: Can someone tell me where I can get a backup system that fast? :)

Love the Episode in general though, well except for the scene where Olivia says she doesn't want to be a doctor. Physicians are in way lower supply than demand, primarily because it is quite expansive to train them.
Someone who doesn't want to be one shouldn't take up those resources in the first place.
