Well, I actually liked this pick-up of a TNG story. Maybe they could've made it better, more serious. But my guess is, it never was intended to be a serious episode. I agree the end with the wormhole was a bit convenient. Not only did Voyager not get through but now both ends are unstable so we won't have to deal with the question where the Ferengi come out. As per the Stardate this actually takes place right after the seasons premiere. I wonder if they held the episode back as it probably would not have had the impact Flashback had.
