As a viewer it felt like we were a fly on the wall while observing the growing friendship between the two girls. While the movie has a whimsical feel to it there is a dark undercurrent to what is going on. I was not familiar with the real-life events so I was convinced that the movie would have a very different ending. Overall it was a good watch if for no other reason than to watch two future stars.
