A battle to the last man is a very romantic trope, both in the movies, and, in some of histories most remembered conflicts. However, sometimes a strategic retreat to regroup in the face of no plan, increasing casualties, dwindling resources, and a seemingly irresistible enemy, is the better bet.
Then again, as is often said, they enemy of my enemy (for the time being) is my friend, so if the lord commander Titan ends up being as or more powerful (not to mention more deranged and evil) than Invictus, then, who knows what could happen.
