@robyi As you said, badly written. Before this episode I couldn't point out a scenario or episode I hated. If you want to say they had no signal, alright. However like you said why didn't they shoot? The door didn't look metal but worst of all was when officers initially rang the doorbell. Banging on pipes? Shoot the brick wall, gunshots are very loud.

The cellar part was badly written. There would have been a mobile signal at the top of the stairs or they had 2 guns and he could have shot the door hinges. The fix, metal door instead of a wooden one and one mobile broke with the fall and second phones battery died.
