@j_345 the band probably is just a fashion or a look she likes, its called a ringfinger so why not wear a ring?, just because is associated with wedding rings in many culture doesnt mean is exclusive to marriage.
Anyways, i agree with you about the new lady, she's a bully. there's others way to achieve full potential without the need of bullying
