@saint-pauly My thoughts exactly when I came out of the cinema: where was the conflict? This movie could have used an old fashion bad guy.
I also liked almost every songs, very nice and catchy and visually beautiful.
@lepricano The conflict is in being the black sheep of the family until the end of the movie and progressively gaining the trust of every family member, lol. You don't need an evil final boss at any cost, this is a movie about family

Like a forgettable Thanksgiving dinner, there was a lot going on but not as much drama as you expected.
This is basically a soundtrack album because there are a lot of decent songs but there isn't really any conflict. In the absence of a 'bad guy', the film lacks grandeur and stakes. Each problem that pops up is resolved in a couple of minutes so there is little here to hold the interest of anyone who's successfully graduated puberty.
