I liked it much more when it was a comedy. Now it is a copy of star trek.

@asmerm I believe the intent is an homage, not copy.... And, you've gotta admit it's more true to Star Trek TOS and STNG than anything the license holders have done. But, he made the show because he loves Star Trek, and as a love letter to ST-TOS he's done well.
It's still funny -- Steve Smith getting dunked in the bathroom by bullies? The main bully being someone you can't even beat in a fight? Kliden's "unfinished business" throttling Bortus? Pretty hilarious.

@vwfringe homage, copy, whatever, it is not what it was when show started. Then, it was fresh and funny with what-if and misusing the technology. Now, it is not fresh and funny, and looks too much as star trek whatever.

@asmerm I miss the fart & dick jokes, and when Ed could just say, "Bitch, you cheated on me!"

I wonder if it's having to hire writers, cuz Family Guy & American Dad were funnier when Seth was writing them (I think).
