Trent said it best: it's going to work because it's the Ted Lasso way. Ever since Ted showed up at Richmond he has fundamentally changed the hearts and minds of the players on his team into a culture of trust, selflessness, care, and support. Total Football is the ultimate team strategy built on these values, and therefore it is the perfect strategy for a team that has adopted the Ted Lasso way. It's just beautiful writing. On top of that this episode had the great humor and character moments we've come to expect out of the show. Ted Lasso is firing on all cylinders right now.
