In my opinion, the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy is one of the underrated sci-fi trilogies. Both the animation of the apes is still impressive today. But not only do these films stand out technically in my opinion, but they also tell an engaging story with this impressive technology (I'm looking at you Avatar 1 and 2). If you don't know this trilogy yet and are looking for good sci-fi films that don't necessarily have to be set in space, you'll find them in these three films.
