The comments here are exactly the reason mainstream movies suck so much. Everyone wants a happy ending. Everyone wants the redemption ark. No one is happy to have a mirror held up to reflect the real world back at them. This ending drove me insane, but it was perfect. I was yelling at him to get on that plane, but when he turned around and walked away, it perfectly aligned with everything this character has done throughout the entire show. If people aren't happy with that, then they didn't pay any attention whatsoever.
