This episode goes to a place where Star Wars rarely went in the past. We always assumed how evil Palpatine and his Empire was/is but actually seeing it hits harder then you think. The atmosphere in this episode is really one of hopelessness and helplessness. Yes, it reminded me of the prison in "Andor" and maybe there is your glimmer of hope. Because they got out of that one.
