He then fairly quickly, considering the circumstances, beams back down, tells everyone they can leave, to which Riker says: I'm still not comfortable leaving you here alone." And Riva's response is: "Thank you for your concern. I will be fine."
Really, Riva?? REALLY? Not like your entire Chorus just got murdered with you only surviving because Riker pushed you out of the way. And I'm sure the added hardship of having to teach them sign language with only your bare hands is going to make things even easier. I also don't understand how Riker could think this was a good idea or Picard either. This episode really didn't make a lot of sense to me.
