One of the weirdest, boldest and closest adaptations ever made.
"Alice in Wonderland" by Nick Willing was my first experience with Lewis Carroll's piece and it was traumatizing. I was five and never got around to rewatch it until I was 15. Ten years later I had already read the book, whatched the Disney animation and a few other less mentionable ones too, and only then I was really able to figure out and admire all those weird choices that frightened me at first.
It's a beautiful film for anyone who isn't afraid of discomfort, of the atypical. Certainly a film that marked me forever.
This is My Best Movies Ever and I Really like it the best Movies on Earth
I noticed a goof up.
Major Caterpillar said that one side of the mushroom makes you smaller and the other side makes you larger.
Initially, Alice takes a bite from the piece in her left pocket and it makes her larger.
During the hearing she takes a bite from the piece in her right pocket.
It should have made her smaller, but it makes her larger.

I love anything Alice in Wonderland themed, it is probably my favourite fairy tale. I especially like this re-telling which has a huge star cast including Martin Short, Whoopi Goldberg, Robbie Coltrane, Ben Kingsley, Miranda Richardson, Christopher Lloyd and Gene Wilder! Very well made and such a fun movie!
