Hugh Dancy, you are just the man for me
Decided to watch this movie because I was bored, but I paid great attention when I saw Hugh Dancy. It's a good movie to pass your time, don't get me wrong, but damn he's the reason I'd watch it again!
Hadn't seen it before. But it's a nice one, I love the way they show how she "talks" to the shops.
Pros -
1.) Hugh Dancy (Even if you don't know him) played the character exceptionally well.
2.) Happy Time chick flick.
3.) Cute funny moments
Quote of the movie " Cost & Worth are not the same thing."
God. do I love this movie to bits. It's one of those movies I will keep coming back to. And every time re watching, just keeps reminding me of the reason why I fell in love with it in the first place.
Also, as someone who's recently watched NBC'S Hannibal. Hugh Dancy looks positively stunning
Care-free and light. Isla Fisher is just a babe.
With this movie Isla Fisher was becoming America's next sweetheart. From her scene stealing performance in Wedding Crashers and sweetness in Definitely, Maybe she has what it takes to make you root for and invest in her characters. She plays Rebecca Bloomwood here who is addicted to shopping to the fault of $16000 in debt and placing her relationship with her best friend and others on edge. She faces the struggle of being honest with those in her life and more importantly with herself. Her self-journey in this movie is fairly standard movie stuff but with Isla it is still fun to watch from the dancing scene in Miami to blowing up a shopaholics anonymous meeting. There is a great supporting cast with the receptionist for the office building turning in a pretty funny performance. Be warned this is the ultimate in chick flicks if your man isn't into that kind of thing. Also, remember it is a movie so shopping addiction can be funny.
Hugh Dancy looks SO so so handsome!

I must say.. I had very low expectations before watching this movie.I expected it to be one of those typically annoying and rather boring chick flicks.... but I got something completely different!! The movie starts off with Rebecca Bloomwood on one of her typical days, attracted by shop displays.. unable to walk by without going inside.. etc etc.
As her bills pile up.. she decides to apply for Alette magazine, but she gets there too late, and is suggested to try out for a financial magazine.. where she ends up working.
You follow her life's ups and downs, her relationships , her work, in this cute movie.
Isla Fisher is bubbly, funny, and cute, and acts very well.
Go watch it, it wont let you down!!!
A fairly formulaic chick flick saved by Isla Fisher's slightly whacky sense of comedy.
omg i was staring all the time at Luke and saying he looks like the guy from Hannibal. furthermore i was saying Luke is way better than him. it never occurred to me that he's the same person LOL

Fun feel-good movie, had some giggles. The guy seems like a douche though.
