Just seen this at the World premiere, incredibly funny/silly movie that only Sacha Baron Cohen could get away with
Unoriginal plot, unfunny jokes, and disappointing use and mockery of talented women in this movie.
Being shocking and vulgar doesn't make a joke land. It worked in his other movies because it was genuinely funny. I loved Borat, I loved Bruno, I love his work, but this... made me laugh once.
Hope he redeems himself with the next one.
It is just brilliantly disgusting...
Didn't see better comedy in a long time, a bit dark and insulting but brilliant.
Fun movie, some crazy shit going on!!
Proper laugh-out-loud! I enjoyed this a lot.
I didn't know what to expect from this movie but it was absolutely crazy. I highly recommend it. I was laughing almost all the time. I have never seen any other movie like this one. I'm still laughing as writing this comment.
Very funny movie but really interesting
Wow this movie was so funny! Can't believe how much i laughed.
Awesome with a dash of more Awesome :D
Extremely fun, funny and entertaining. Really enjoyed this one. Do not go in with expectations and I guarantee you will be left in tears from laughter! 10/10
Like a one night stand you enjoy the hell out of, yet can't look yourself in the face after it's over.
Funny and crazy, Sacha Cohen is superb as always.
I was not prepared to see this.
Not for those easily offended in the least but dammit this gross-out tasteless comedy has a few scenes that were hilarious to me. Most definitely an acquired taste
Exquisitely raunchy, delightfully tacky, and a fockin' barrel of laughs!
Also, the movie that taught me heroin is a gateway drug.
Hahaha! That's all i've got to say about this film.. nah what a comedy, It was a silly one, but pulled it off, and It was very offensive, and don't know how they got away with some of the jokes.. some moments had stuff you'd put in a cheap cheesy low budget film, it pulled that off too, and also it had moments that i'd wish i'd never seen, and will be scared for life.. but i loved the script, the cast were great, and surprised to see some of the faces.. I liked the way they put it, it was different, and without Sacha (nobby) it wouldn't be the same..
Oy. This movie was not good. It had a few moments where I chuckled, but it was pretty much rough across the board. I will give the man credit, he has a knack to have an offensive scene, then turn it into an offensive set piece, then spend 5 minutes making it worse, and worse, and worse, until I'm finally amused that he's taken it this far. During "that scene" I just kept thinking, poor Mark Strong. When he read this in the script, did he know it was going to be the way it was? Also a few more points for not having it all green screen. They were really "inside" something. It was nuts. And gross.
Okay, I just I'll give this a few more stars for going all out, but this was a miss. I've been defending The Dictator since it came out, I think that movie really works. This just felt tired. Like the opening scene, of him in his brother's room, the joke that all of his idols ending up being gay. I'm not saying it's offensive, it's just a joke we've heard a million times. "We used to think George Michael was such a lady killer!" Not funny anymore. Also, none of the Rebel Wilson jokes worked. I think she's hilarious, I just think she's above the jokes she's being subjected to in this movie.
What a crock... do not understand the rave reviews here
Haven't laughed out loud that much in a long time. Definitely different but definitely funny.
Better and funnier than I expected... however, some of the jokes were not welcome and their offensive nature marred the film (Aids and Leukaemia are subjects of jokes only Frankie Boyle would be proud of and he's an idiot).
I'm speechless. I do not know what to say for this movie, one you have the awesome THERAPIST joke and on the other the most disgusting and hideous scene in the history of cinema, yes the elephant one. Garbage but with a hint of brilliance
best Trump appearance so far!
Mark tries, Sacha screws the Movie over. I still don´t know why people like to see Sacha open is mouth, let alone acting ...
I'm not sure if I can tell my friends that I watched this.
Nice bit of casual classism
This is another movie that is way better than it has any business being.
First: it combines spy thriller, comedy, and drama seamlessly. No easy feat! Seriously, if you can make a spy movie that is comparable to modern Bond films with raunchy comedy - and I mean way over the top - and also have heavy drama - no joke, I teared up during a scene - that's impressive movie making.
If Grimsby (or The Brothers Grimsby, as I saw it) has a flaw, it's that it is not longer. At less than an hour and a half, I wanted more time with the brothers.
There is too much praise that I could spend time throwing here, but I'll try to keep it simple. If you liked Hot Fuzz, but wanted it to have outrageous gross-out humor - and I can't stress this enough, if you're squeamish about that, stay far away - this is going to be a favorite. Just so many laughs, great action, and oddly such a touching story about estranged brothers.
If that's not enough, the movie gives Orange Man AIDS.
Finally: Annabelle Wallis - who needed to be in this longer - has a scene in her underwear, and wow! She has an astounding body.
This movie has balls, and it's not afraid to shove those balls right in your face!
It's a silly and a great movie. Made me laugh multiple times. Its rating on Trakt is far more fair than the ones on IMDB and Rotten. Go and watch this!
very silly type of movie like other sacha movies, but laughed my head off throughout the whole thing
It's a Sacha Baron Cohen movie. 'nuff said!:ok_hand_tone2:
Grim indeed.
So I've seen Grimsby about a week ago now (it takes me long to gather my thoughts), and I thought it was alright. If you like offensive humor with gross out scenes and absurd content, then this movie is likely for you. Sacha Baron Cohen dose he's usual thing of playing different characters and that's always enjoyable to watch, and he dose it again in this movie. There were a lot of parts in this movie that I did find funny that some people might not, but everyone has different taste in comedy's. Movies like this I normally wouldn't like or enjoy, but it did surprise me.
Grimsby isn't as clever or well written as 'Borat' & 'Bruno', because those movies do have a clever hidden joke that some people may not get. For the most part, this movie was very predictable when it came to the story and the characters. Penélope Cruz and Ian McShane didn't do anything special in the movie.
Overall rating: Grimsby (or The Brothers Grimsby) is a decent comedy that might not be everyone's type of film.
it was fun to watch.....though no logic in this movie whatsoever ...but you have to say Cohen's Dictator was the best...this movie is obviously silly but made me laugh which is rare..
Sacha Baron Cohen is. not. funny.
Rebel Wilson is abolutely terrible.
Nothing about this movie is funny.
Funny in places but pretty poor :-(
always wondered why cohen always makes this kind of offensive movie, but still fairly funny
It's as stupid as expected but its got a few good laughs. Worth the watch for them alone.
This movie is Laugh out loud funny..
This was one of those sorts of movies that you had one eye opened and the other shut, but you couldn't help from not watching what happens next. I agree with you, part of this movie was the grossest moments of cinema history...
Not a movie that all will like. As a matter of fact, if you're into raw, push the limit to the point of embarrassment, then you'll probably like this movie a lot. Those of you that have an open mind, may experience a little nerve-ending encouragement to press the "STOP" or "DELETE" key with your remote. Long story short, family loses member, family finds lost member, family sticks together and family kicks some royal butt, not to mention other parts of the human anatomy. For me, it was a movie that was selected since I wasn't sure what I wanted to watch. There are some major actors that I do like and that was the most important reason why I decided to watch this one. In saying all that, this is the sort of movie that you would not want to watch with your wife that you have been married to for a long, long time. Enjoy...
they are English you moron! #ShiftvW8
The English accents are really cringeworthy.

Incredibly funny and insulting and entirely English. Highly recommend!
