For example, here the official definition: An action film is based around either one person or a group facing challenges. Normally involving fights, chase scenes, life threatening situations, guns, explosions and an evil villain. Action is a genre that allows us to see the story through fights, explosions, car chases and fit, good-looking heroes.

For example: Content which you can easily watch with the family/children/teenagers without being in great need of explanation. Sometimes maybe just because they are harmless (at least for older children's) or have a good message in them.
