Certainly liked it better than I thought I would. Pretty good film.
Awesome movie ive ever seen..
I was expecting to dislike this. I'm not a fan of giant monsters or mecha robots. I found it highly predictable, yet somehow I managed to enjoy this movie. Although I confess, I believe I gave it a full extra point for having Ellen McLain (GLaDOS from the Portal games) as the mech's AI. That was a nice touch and it really went a long way with me. Probably more than it should have, but I'll let it pass. I think the movie deserves a 6.5/10, but sticking to whole numbers, 7/10 is fine.
well, one of those movies you watch for the action and CGI. Yes the story is cliché and patriotic, but whatever. I enjoyed watching it, it's in the line of iron man and transformers
Dunno, why it did not work out so much for me like other "anime" movies not from japan (speed racer, sucker punch), tough it is still fun, but classic usa movies of this kind (battleship) somehow does not seem so ... stiff.
i though this was going to be a lot of noise,some pretty lights and then extra noise; rubbish transformers style. but... well, this one ha a bit more substance. It´s a fun ride =)
Epic Epic movie... If you were expecting a deep and heartfelt storyline, then this is the wrong movie.
If you want to watch some awesome robots vs. monsters action with just enough story to give a break between all the massive fights, this is your movie!
Only let down was the Hollywood ending

Great blockbuster! This film is clearly the future! I guess it's the phrase that better represents it because of the technology used, top notch!
Visually is amazing and the action scenes are massive! Monsters and Robots never looked so cool! I don't know what to say more because of all it's already been said.
I've never seen anything with Charlie Hunnam before but I think he wasn't that good in the lead role. Idris Elba was the actor that deserves more credits between all. Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Ron Perlman provide good moments of laugh, very funny characters.
My only complain, and it has never to do directly with the film, is that I don't like 3D but I saw in IMAX 3D deceived because I thought it would be in regular IMAX (the guys at the cinema gave me the wrong information when I booked the tickets lol) I always prefer 2D no matter the film, I know that probably many people will think that I am crazy for saying that because this film clearly provides a great experience in 3D but I can't enjoy completely the 3D bothers me a lot. Probably if it wasn't because of that I would rate it even higher.
Guillermo Del Toro continues to impress with his great imagination and theres no doubt that this is an amazingly well done film!
My Anime heart skipped a beat when this movie started! Loved it when it was in Sneak Preview here in Holland. Great movie with an ok story and a lot of good details in it!!
Saw it on world premiere in Mexico City last monday July 1st. The 3D experience is one of the best I've ever seen. Amazing.
In which GlaDOS (Ellen McLain) proves that she does indeed want to save the world. For science!

But the Director (Guillermo del Toro) talked about it's going to be an homage to the old Godzilla style movies, also he talked about his approach not to attach too much weight on special-effect and use more hand-made tactics like the old ones. He wants to take the viewer back to it's delightful childhood :)

But i said it before (Battleship) and ill say it again: a big budget and a good looking trailer are not the only ingredients you need for a good movie. Evidence of that are the movies Battleship, Battle: Los Angeles and Skyline.

Great Nerd-Trash. Fantastic Blockbuster-Soundtrack with good Special Effects. Yeah you got your plotholes here and your IndepenceDay-Patriotism there, but in the end it's a nice Actioner.
