So funny! I was just incredibly stressed about the intense economical damage.
Poehler and Fey are always fun to watch and this is a perfectly pleasant comedy.
AND HIS NAME IS JOHNNNNN CEEENAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
Some fun and funny moments but something about it doesn't work despite the chemistry of the leads. I wouldn't recommend or rewatch.
love TINA FEY,good funny movie
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are awesome.
I'm a sucker for Fey/Poehler, and this time they've managed to be as brash and simultaneously fun as they should always have been; I mean, they've obviously honed their craft. They play sisters who walk down memory lane, and what keeps this from being a regular haw-haw SNL showboat is how they keep their eyes on the prize, story-wise. It's a complete film, lavish with jokes that not only prey upon the remember-when-we-were-young? thing, but show-cases humor in its simplest forms. There are not that many gimmicks, really, but mostly humor. Things work because of the words, not the context, e.g. in comparison with films like almost everything Adam Sandler has made. All in all, fun and funny, they make it work.
Good comedy. At times looks like an extended SNL sketch. The plot of the film is a bit too exaggerated and overdone, but the adult naughty jokes and sarcasm add a good amount of awkwardness in the story overall and kept me entertained the majority of the film.
Why on earth was this 2 hours!?
the first half is kinda dull but once the party gets going there are so many genuinely hilarious bits, bobby moynihan as alex in particular >>>
Meh. Whole movie is kinda meh funny laughs but also eye rolls Poehler and Fey's chemistry keep the movie alive.
Two sisters (Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler) return home to Florida when they hear the news their parents want to sell the family home. They decide to have one last party to send it off.
Missed this one last Christmas, but a few people recommended I take a look, plus this year’s offering of Office Christmas Party and Bad Santa 2 (how dare they make a second one!) really have not tickled my fancy. Sure enough, Sisters is a pretty superficial but surprisingly funny venture. Perhaps it shouldn’t be all that surprising since Poehler and Fey are two of the funniest people on TV but for whatever reason my expectations weren’t all that great.
It’s not really one for the family but if you’re looking for a crowd pleaser over the festive period this might be worth a look. It doesn’t lean too heavily on the schmaltz but they lay enough groundwork for the characters to feel real, and most importantly plenty of hilarious shit happens pretty much as soon as you’ve waded through the first 20 minutes.
A simple formula that gets the job done.

Well you have two parts in the movie, one before the party and one after. The first part is completely bad, idiodic and you want to turn it off but the second part is funny with some extreme situations that go well with the film. Weird movie
Some good one liners but over all a poor enough movie , was it just me or does Ike Barinholtz (James) look like a ugly Mark Wahlberg
Cena steals the show in another movie but because his lines are funny. He still isn't the best actor though. Otherwise the screenplay is pretty weak; there's nothing really laugh out loud funny.
Just Tina Fey and Amy Poehler acting immature.
Sisters tries really hard. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler certainly have chemistry and some of the best moments of the movie come from that chemistry. Still, the film falls flat on its face more than once.
The movie is mostly cringe humor. It's filled with one character or another doing something embarrassing. While this can be done really well if used correctly, Sisters seems to hit everything with the cringe hammer until it cries.
This isn't really expected, and neither is the abundant use of bodily and sexual humor. There are some great moments in the movie relating to these, as well.
The real issue with the movie is it feels like the writers went at it with a list of "funny" situations and tried to fit them all into a loose theme. Throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks inevitably means there will be a bunch of junk laying on the floor.
How could it be that hard to mess this up? You have two of the best comedic actors who are great friends in real life. They have amazing chemistry. They bring along some of their SNL pals and.... this? This movie was one crude insult after another. And don't get me wrong - crude insults can be fantastic, if they are funny. I don't even think I broke a smile in the 45 minutes that I suffered through this. It kind of felt like at times they were allowed to go and be silly and then someone reminded them that they then had to go slog through this screenplay. Worse, it appears as though they did other films with the same group that were equally as uneventful.

Bad, Terrible, Poor, Meh, waste of time
it's worth see it if you like amy and tina, but the movie is a crap
Middle age party movie?
I love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler but I struggled with Sisters. Middle age party movie is a tough premise to begin with so the writing needed to be on point but the jokes just didn't land for me.
I enjoyed certain parts. But it's a bad version of the usual party movies.
Well I have eye cancer now :(
