I'm not sure exactly what Dave Grohl can't do. This is a fantastic documentary about a place where many of the greatest or most successful albums of Rock were recorded.
Grohl covers the history of the albums over the first half of the doc, and then switches gears by focusing on the recording console, which he purchased and moved to his own studio. Next, he invites some of the biggest starts of Rock history to record an album, a kind of tribute to Sound City and the Neve soundboard.
First it was Nirvana, then Foo Fighters and now Film. Everything the guy tries, he succeeds with. This is a great movie to watch if you're a lover of rock music.
