CTU backups/escorts are some of the most ineffectual redshirts in all of media. They're supposed to be on alert, yet they always die instantly, lol. And why would backup be 10-15 minutes out, when it only took Chloe like 5 minutes to get there??
While the failure to capture Marwan was absolutely President Logan's fault, those Secret Service agents share a lot of the blame as well. They could've and should've had the sense to listen to Jack's plea to wait. 'Following orders' is not a useful excuse.
The actor playing President Logan does a superb job at playing someone you hate so much for being incompetent.
Best thing about Nixon's incompetence is that we get to see Palmer again.
