Mind blowing! This should be a movie!

That was an emotional rollercoaster. I was so sure at the beginning that Liam was imagining things and that this whole episode would show him becoming more and more obsessed with his idea until he either loses his mind or kills Jonas or Fi. But then it actually turned out that he was right and Fi kept lying again and again. It hurt quite a lot to see Liam replaying these memories over and over again. It felt really realistic.

All in all it's not my favorite episode so far, but it was surprisingly good. I think I liked the second episode more, but on the other hand the second episode had a more disappointing ending. So I actually have to say that all three episodes in this season had some really good elements.
I'll definitely keep watching this show.

I've always thought of this idea. Being able to go back to a moment. Delete unwanted memories. See through other's minds. I guess this episode showed me that it may be better that we can't.

Looks like a good idea to me. Saved him from a cheating wife, ain't that good ?

loading replies

The man playing the husband gave a superb and believable performance. His obsession was right on the mark and I felt for him every step of the way.

Cheating and Lying (while destroying a life), these are the two worst things anyone could do, and it makes me lose respect for any person who does either.

Knew Fi was cheating as soon as she was entered into the episode.

Aha. An ode to overthinking!

I "appreciated" the fact that Liam's spiraling and paranoia turned out to be truthful, in the end. I was expecting him to be making things up in his mind, that there was nothing between Ffion and Jonas and the whole thing to end up in a "watch out not to overread things where there are none and not just race along with your own mind".
Which I think would have been important, but a little bit more predictable.
This way instead you do get the same message cause of his flipping out, but you get as well to think about how such an implant would actually influence our behaviour, and how as of now you can perceive and let go of simple gestures or signs (even in the initial interview) that we may focus too much or too little on, depending on the person and your view on it. And how sometimes ignorance may be a bliss or a curse.
Not to mention the relationship with memories and the risks of living in the past - which Liam fully gets overcome by in the ending.

Many thoughts to ponder over, great achievement.

That awkward moment when you go in to hug someone and come out of it with a handshake.

This was a good episode. All I can say is ignorance is bliss.

You know when you suspect something, it’s always better when it turns out to be true.

loading replies

The main character was a bit too obsessive for me, but the premise and the fallout resonated with me.

loading replies

A devastating drama with a Sci-Fi twist. Classy Black Mirrror.

The close up shot of Toby Kebbell face as he literally watches his life fall apart is something I will never forget.

Sometimes forgetting is for the best. Bad memories are poison to the soul.

Best episode from first season..I didn't see that coming i was expecting to see something different but it amazed me.7.9/10

loading replies

The amount of depression and negative energy in this episode is overwhelming... In addition to that, I hate lying. It doesn't only feature that but it also features a trust failure in people and it is better to be able to forget, not remembering is a gift!

loading replies

This episode was scary. The main guy reminds me of my abusive father

loading replies

This was my favorite episode of the season because it showed something that I could actually see happening in the near future. It made me wonder about how far we should want to go.

loading replies

I like this better than the 2nd episode. I feel bad for the guy or for anyone who has been cheated on. :/ The pros and cons of remembering everything..

loading replies

I would have just deleted everything instead of removing the implant. Fuck you FI

loading replies

Extremely good stuff. Probably the best told story of season 1, though still edged out as the best episode of the season by ep.2

loading replies

Very interesting concept, episode was riveting to me. The technology is both believable in the near future, and terrifying. I think the cons of a reality like that would far outweigh the pros. Dangerous!

9/10
Would have been
a 10/10
if they would have
cast anyone else
other than bloody
Jodie.
That being said
this is definitely the best
episode of season 1
and Toby puts in a
Stella performance,
he completely sells
this episode.
it actually reminded
me a lot of me as this
Situation happened
to me with the same
Result, so Toby's
Performance and reaction
was one hundred percent spot-on
(trust me).
This season finale
was an absolute
Banger of a
Black Mirror episode.
Super ready for
Season 2

It was nice to see Jodie Whittaker in something. Since I have only seen her as Doctor Who. Though, her character isn’t very likable.

loading replies

The worst by far. Previsible as fuck.

Out of all of the episodes this season, this episode may be the most in-your-face and the least meta, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to think about or analyze, they are just trying a little harder to express how technology can both improve our lives as well as tear everything apart in the most obvious of ways. It's the whole argument of every positive thing having an equal opposite, a negative to counterbalance it. The better something may seem will always have an equal negative connotation that one day may just ruin you. This is a prime example of how something like that could happen through convenient applications like technological advances and how human beings choose to utilize those advances. Supreme television show. Can't wait to see more.

So was the baby his or was it not???

loading replies

Way better than the first two episodes! A little slow paced but not as slow as them too

Ground to earth, humane episode. It's interesting to watch this after 15 Million Merits as 15MM attempted to take it in macro scale with the issue of infinite distraction, The Entire History of You takes it very grounded with the issue of privacy/surveillance. It's really an interesting inversion between the two theme. Usually it's the reverse.

Technology is intertwined with daily life, people interact with them convincingly through, and I like the bits of airport/government surveillance shown up briefly. Characters aren't as nuanced as the The National Anthem, however it progresses necessarily and believable "just enough' to the issue it tries to bring up: trust, memory, and relationship. The ending resonate a lot with me and left me pondering of the circumstances. It gets it "just right", however there's room for improvement. This is a science fiction drama and a very worthy theme to revisit some time later.

This is something I thought of awhile ago...and I said it would be something cool and great to have in the afterlife...I would really like to be able to watch any moment of my life at any time and maybe truly feel it again like transport myself into it and feel like I've never been at that part in my life before and then wake up after the moment...idk I think that'd be nice and harmless. Anyways nice episode...not my
Favourite but still great and depressing as always... yikes >.<

this is definitely something I don't need. Recording of every minute of your life... and to be able to go back on those memories...

and man, I feel for this dood the pain and suffering he endured.
