I'm glad that someone finally shut that lawyer up plus Madeline is gone, yay!
So… are we supposed to just forget that Jane has a daughter? I mean Jane’s forgotten so we have to also?
I also love that the writers 100% know that we are all really only watching for Ashley Johnson and her amazingness.
Like I said, it would be either Killing Main Character at the Show's End-Run for Emotional Effect or a fake-out and they chose the latter - makes sense, finishing the show without Pattersson would be really depressing and they really couldn't make without her, she's a goddamn deus ex machina and her non-sensical escape from a flood of melting termite is further proof of that.
The whole escape from FBI thing was nice enough but killing Weitz was so corny and the FBI agents who helped them just came traded a few shoots and then walked out so fast it was actually kinda hilarious. anyway, Madeline's ending was utterly boring and Ivy just picking up her post as the season's mega villain were both proof they just didn't know what to do with the plot this season, it ran in circles for a whole season to end in nothing that made sense, frustrating as hell
Of course, they're not going to end the show with Madeline. Let's just take her down (although, she did it herself) two episodes before the finale but have the torch passed on to someone else to stretch things even further. I mean, might as well end the show with the team as an official (or semi-official) team taking down someone who is planning a major attack, just like old times.
Still, I've had just about enough of this show. This season has been its lowest point, with the fourth season as a close second. What a fall from what it used to be, at least, worth watching and decently enjoyable. I think the premise was revealed far too quickly but the writers just couldn't let the show go, for it to end, right then, which meant continuing the show from there, and I believe it was one of the factors that played into making the show not as enjoyable as it used to be. The ending of the third season was only the final nail in the coffin of which already had more than enough nails in it. The fourth season was desperately grasping on straws just to continue the show.
Also, what was the point of Matthew's death? Like, what? It's like the writers thought, "Hey, let's have this almost face-to-face proximity shootout and have someone die because that's probably what would realistically happen. Even though we've never shown any realism in the show before, let's prove that we can, at times. Oh, and it's the final season, so why not? Wait, who can we kill that we view as expendable? Matthew? Awesome!" He could still alive and Patterson lied to everyone else, for some reason, and he'll be brought back in the next episode, just like with Patterson, who knows. I wouldn't be surprised. But most of the people who still watch this show seem to be, every single time.
I wonder what Ivy's deal is. Sure, she's apart of the Dabbur Zann, but I wonder if her desire to have (and use, I imagine) the ZIP bombs is more than being a recurring, prominent face of the Dabbur Zann. At the end of the episode, she seemed a little desperate. A little more than you'd think from a throwaway character who's a terrorist. It could be interesting if she had some sort of acquaintanceship with Sandstorm or if she used to be with them. Maybe we'll get to know a little backstory about her. I mean, there are only two episodes left so I doubt it. She's probably just a generic villain with nothing more to the character.
Overall, I guess I'm sort of interested to see and know how this will conclude, and how the show will end. It was a long time coming, longer than it should've been, and way too dragged out, but it's time to put this show to rest. I hope it won't be that bad of a conclusion to the show. It certainly won't be extremely good, I'd imagine. But if it isn't that bad, that should be enough.

"Hi, my name is Gordon, I'll be assisting in your rescue today." Absolutely superb episode. Just when it can't get any more potty, it raises the bar and becomes joyous entertainment. Plot holes are brushed aside in favour of slap dash action and corny one-liners that just... kick... ass. Love it.
