IMO, this was a return to form from growing pains in the third season and the introduction of new elements, and multiple plotlines and relationships reaching plateaus, but this seems more up to par with the baseline of Season 2. Except the part about Buffy doing really well on her entrance exam. They really hadn't established a precedent for that. Xander and Willow, though, are very believable and it's the spiciest thing in the show for me, as I can feel their attraction and internal conflict. Spike's line to Buffy and Angel in the witch's shop helped really cement him as a great character and established depth from which to work with later on.

Spike ruined all of their lives in one episode! Can’t wait to catch up with him being a series regular. Love is a funny thing....

Spike + Joyce (Becoming Part 2 and Lovers Walk) = comedy gold.

You expect me to believe Buffy got a score high enough to get accepted into top universities? There must be some magic involved.

James Marsters really does kick ass all over David Boreanaz in terms of characterization. Really upping the ante in terms of teen drama.

Wow. Spike is some villain.
