First host in Bristol is snappy dresser and furniture salesman Richard, who hopes his presentation skills will wow his guests. But he wasn't expecting to meet 37-year old-teacher Anne, a straight-talking French woman who not only refuses to drink his wine, but also calls his job boring, much to the astonishment of 21-year-old paramedic Harriet and 46-year-old IT architect Steve. As the week progresses, Anne barks at Harriet and recites erotica, while Harriet's ditsy one-liners are a constant amusement for the table. The host on the final night has just one aim - to beat Richard after his restaurant quality meal on night one.
