Richard Hillman ties up the family and put them into the family car, he takes them into a wild ride, while being chased by another car trying to stop him; Richard jumps the car into the water because Richard wanted to commit suicide and he wanted his family to go down with him.
Second episode
They bail the family out of the car, and the police find Richard dead, and everyone gets a relief that the street killing psycho was gone.
Richard bludgeons Maxine to death with the crowbar, taking steps to ensure the crime scene looks like that of a failed burglary. Ashley, having discovered Maxine's body, is arrested and taken in for questioning, while Richard learns that Emily is still alive.
Richard ties up Gail, Sarah, David and Bethany and puts them in the car in the garage, leaving a written confession in an envelope. Gail realises that Richard is intent on a suicide pact and struggles as Richard switches on the engine...
In this hour long special the secret that Matt and Maxine have been guarding since September is finally out in the open as Matt confesses to a stunned Charlie that he slept with Maxine and now believes she is carrying his child. But the irony of the situation is that Maxine's desperate attempts to keep the whole thing under wraps, by spilling the beans to Matt about Charlie's plans for an abortion, lead to Matt's shocking confession. Maxine is convinced that Matt will be able to persuade Charlie to keep the baby, therefore getting him out of her and Ashley's life forever. With his own baby on the way he isn't going to want anything to do with hers! While Karen and Steve fight over their belongings, Andy and Nick Morgan hold Katy hostage, and lie in wait for Angela; Kevin raises the alarm after Sally tells him of two strangers she saw earlier. As police surround the house, two shots are heard.
Gail faces the fact that she may lose her home. When Gail plucks up the courage to tell Vera and Jack, Vera blows her top.
Special double episode. David loses control of Vera and takes it out on Vera for blaming his mum. Kirks plan to help Les back fires and Les gets a bruised eye and ego.
Mike agrees not to involve the police after Karen confesses to forging cheques, and he tells Joe he never wants to see him again. Sunita is starting to enjoy having two men fighting over her, and Todd gets an interview for a hospital cleaning job.
Special double episode. Peter hears that Lucy is pregnant. Steve is jealous of Joe and his wife Karen spending so much time together. Richard wants to move away from Weatherfield with Gail and the kids.
Peter proposes to Lucy. David and Sarah are asked by Gail and Richard if they want to move away. Ashley is in denial over the paternity test.
Peter begs Shelley for another chance, and she agrees to marry him. At the reception, a drunken Ciaran tires to provoke Dev, angering Sunita. Bev reminds Tracy of their bet, and two knock-out pills are duly dropped into Roy's champagne...
Peter tells Sarah and Todd that they had to be out of his flat by tomorrow, as he found out about Tony and Jason's scam. Candices mum gives her an ultimatum, stop her 'lies' and move home with her mum and her mums boyfriend, or move out. Candice can't cope with her mums boyfriend and therefore decides to leave. She moves in with Maria and Fizz. Janice tells Nick that Maria was pregnant with his baby, but she had an abortion.
Lucy and Shelley discuss Peter's double life, both women banish him from their lives. Norris and Emily discover the secret ingredient of Vera's cakes, and Roy tells Tracy he'll be accompanying her when she has her scan.
A shared night of passion has left Bev feeling embarrassed and Ciaran feeling guilty. Fred sets off on his Scottish coach trip, and Todd and Nick spend the evening talking. Instinctively, Todd leans over to kiss Nick - leaving him shocked and angry.
Lucy sets Peter up to be certain that Shelley doesn't take him back. Shelley finds out the truth behind Lucy's lies but still doesn't take Peter back as she still can't trust him. Claire and Ashley declare their fondness of eachother and Claire decides not to move out. Les introduces his new girlfriend to everyone - unaware that she is Fiz's mum.
Special double episode Hayley and Roy rekindle their deal with Tracy by offering her extra £10,000 so she'll marry him. Roy and Hayley decided to take out another loan to pay for the money. Fiz couldn't believe that her mum was going out with Les. Peter confronted Tracy over how she is treating Ken and Deirdre, as well as Roy and Hayley. Tracy began to cry, realising her faults, and revealed that Roy isn't even the baby's real father...... The last few minutes before it goes off shows Tracy ready to tell Peter the real father of her unborn child.
The second episode continues exactly where the first left off, with Tracy ready to tell Peter that the father of her unborn child is Steve McDonald - this she is certain of! Fiz and her mum have a run in and Fiz tries to convince Les that he shouldn't be seeing her mum.
Hayley tells the factory girls that Tracy is pregnant and that her and Roy are going to bring up the child. Ashley tells Roy to stop interferring in his love life. Ashley also tells Fred that him and Claire are 'just good friends.' Peter is angry at Tracy for not telling Steve that he's the father of her unborn baby.
Special double episode In the first episode Lucy convinces Peter to allow her to be there when he tells Shelley about their departure. Bev and Shelley continue to argue over Shelley's decision to give Peter another chance. Sunita gets ideas from Dev's love life. In the second episiode Peter finally told Shelley about his decision to move away, resulting in Shelley giving him a dramatic punch. Then, Lucy reveals that she never planned for him to go away with them, and had planned the whole thing as an act of revenge, and goes off abroad without Peter.
Roy and Hayley anticipate next week's secret wedding. Kirk begins to feel left out as Cilla and Chesney move in to Les's house. Angela and Martin both come to Katy's careers evening, but there is a huge argument when Tommy turns up unexpectedly, causing a scene by making allegations about Martin. Katy's teacher mistakes Martin for being her father. Sunita gets revenge on Dev by going to see a solicitor, to investigate whether she can sue him for unfair dismissal - but her chosen solicitor is Maya, the woman who asked Dev to sack Sunita. Sunita gives Dev one last chance to give her back her job, and leaves without waiting for an answer.
Tommy continues to throw his weight around when it comes to Katy and Martin, but Angela is sick and tired of the way he is treating Katy and gives him a piece of her mind. Roy and Hayley go out for a meal on the night before Roy's wedding to Tracey. Brenda takes Bethany on a day out, but ends up taking her to see her father's grave. Todd discusses the possibility of having a baby with Sarah. An upset Angela goes to Roy and Hayley's house for someone to talk to, but ends up finding Katy and Martin instead. They offer to let her come inside, but Tommy notices and comes over, in a furious mood. He tells Angela that he doesn't want anything to do with her if she goes inside Martin and Katy's flat, but she walks straight past him and inside, leaving him astounded.

In the first episode, Steve gets a phone call from Jim asking Steve to come and visit him in prison. Angela and Tommy continue to avoid each other. Meanwhile, it's the day of Roy and Tracey's wedding, and the episode ends with Roy announcing that he wants to call the whole thing off, as he can't go through with the wedding.
In the second episode, Hayley tries to convince Roy that the marriage with Tracey is ultimately worth it, if they get to keep the baby out of the deal. Angela talks things over with Tommy but is disappointed to find that nothing has changed and he is as stubborn as ever. Jim asks Steve to go and visit Liz to find out whether she is having an affair. Meanwhile, Tracey desperately looks for a witness, but Ciarian is the only person who she can find, to the dismay of Hayley. Roy finally decides to go ahead with the wedding, and to Ciarian's amusement, they are pronounced husband and wife, but go their seperate ways afterwards.
Tracy struggles to keep her secret under wraps, while Roy and Hayley make a horrifying discovery. Steve visits Liz in Blackpool and discovers the reasons behind Jim's suspicIons. Tommy turns his back on his marital home.
Liz, Bet and Fred meet up in Blackpool. Tommy tells a devastated Craig he isn't coming home, and Angela is furious. Roy learns that he would lose all rights to his child if his marriage to Tracy were annulled, and Steve gets a call from Jim.
Bev was recovering from her partying the night before. She brags to everyone of how she met a man called John and how he was an airline pilot. Deirdre is shocked to here this as she tihnks it is her ex-fiancee John Lindsey. John Lindsey was the man who scammed Deirdre for all of her money.
Deirdre met Bev in a bar in a hope that she could identify the mystery John. Bev's John was not Deirdres John Lyndsey. Bev was relieved as she liked John, but he left the bar as she wasn't the person he hoped she'd be. Back in Blackpool, Jim and Liz plan to escape on a boat. They leave but are stopped when they notice that Ashley, Claire and baby Josh are on a sinking boat. When Jim takes the boat back to crop them off, he is met by the police and is arrested.
Jim is put back behind bars.Liz decides to stay in Weatherfield for a while, much to Karens dismay.
Bev and Deirdre reconcile their friendship after the John mix-up.
Special double episode In the first episode, Sarah and Todd are worried when Brenda fails to return Bethany when she's babysitting. Karen and Steve continue to fight over Liz's decision to stay in Weatherfield. Dev's friend/girlfriend is shocked to see a face from the past. This face from the past could ruin her so-called-relationship with Dev. In the second episode, Brenda returns with Bethany, just before frantic Sarah calls the police.
Angela confronts Katy following her accusations that her father, Tommy tampered with Martins car, even though Tommy saved Martins life by spotting that there was a problem, chasing his car and then dragging Martin from the burning car. Deidre is excited as she receives a letter saying that she has got a job as a Planning Officer. Dev asks Maya to stay with him for a while.
Craig is nervous as he thinks that his sister, Katy, will go to the police and accuse her father of trying to kill Martin. Jason goes round to Todd's and tells him that Nick spoke to him. Jason warns Todd not to have feelings for men as he doesn't want Sarah to be hurt. Sarah walks in and Todd and Jason go quite. Sarah allows Brenda to babysit Bethany while Todd goes out with Jason and Sarah goes to visit Martin.
Fiz makes a 'special' garments for herself to wear. This 'special' garment is purposely to lure Kirk away from Les and Cilla. Fiz jokingly offers to make one for Hayley to wear for Roy. Angela and Tommy talk about their time apart come to the conclusion that Craig is the one who is suffering the most. Tommy accepts the blame for it all. Mike isn't happy with Nick and his attitude. Mike rips into Nick about letting his personnel life come before business - referring to last weekend when Nick and Maria went away and bumped into Mike and his 'lady friend.'
Ciaran isn't happy about Dev going on his stag night with him, but Sunita reassures him that Dev is happy for them both. Dev still wants Maya to move in with him. Hayley gets worried when she finds out that Blanche has bought number 7 for Tracy to bring the baby up in. Steve is desperate to prove to Tracy that its Karen that he wants and not her.
Shelley asks Sunita how she's feeling. Sunita tells her that sh doesn't know whether she's made the best decison of her life, or the worst. Ciaran arrives at the Rovers (where Sunita is staying) to try and sort things out with Sunita.
