Surprisingly good as a first episode. Catches the feeling of Robert Langdon books very accruately.

But having Dan Brown, the original author of the books, on this as an executive producer this could be expected.

I'm intrigued how this plays out and if it can work a as series. The establishing of characters is rather lacking, though.
Just as in the books, you're thrown into the "nonstop" chase from place a to b without much explanation.

That's were I am skeptical about whether this can work as a series. If you do not know the character Robert Langdon, you might be a bit confused why he can figure symbolical stuff out quickly or why he is involved in this in the first place.

These shows were really fun in the 90's, when it was easy to imagine so many undiscovered locations, and hidden secrets and stuff.

Nowadays, with the internet and radar technology, I just can't get past how unreal it would be that there's a secret room that no one knows about, with a moving wall and whatnot... So unbelievable.

Then there's symbolic messages to be deciphered every few minutes, which this dude figures out in under 60 seconds... What's the point then, not that great of a riddle, lol.

No sure how the show will go on, but it felt very meh for now.

Quite good if you enjoyed the books and the movies. I am not sure if Ashley Zukerman is better as Langdon than Tom Hanks but he is good. With his young Hugh Grant like qualities.
I enjoy the mysteries and puzzle solving of the movies and the books. Even if both have their flaws.

I'm sure that I'll enjoy this series but if it's anything like The Da Vinci Code, the book is probably 100 percent better than the movie/TV show.

That was okay I suppose.

I didn't know what to expect from this adaptation, but I was very happy with what I got. The plot is right in line with Brown's books, which is a good thing, and the casting here is beyond terrific. Langdon 2.0 is off to a good start, and the other characters around him -- the women, in particular -- are all extremely appealing or interesting or both in various ways. In addition, the production values are lush and no corners appear to have been cut. In short, the folks who put this pilot together have every reason to be very proud of what they've accomplished here, and I will definitely be back for more -- and hopefully a lot more.
