Third "4 Seasons" Symphony; Bears, beavers, squirrels and other mammals rush to store up food for the winter - set, once again, to a lively pastiche of light classics.
A group of cannibals gather together for a tribal dance. That is, until their dance is interrupted by a ferocious lion!
a.k.a. 'Fiddling Around'
Mickey plays "Traumerei," the finale to the William Tell Overture, and a Hungarian dance in a rousing (and ridiculously silly) violin performance.
Mickey, Horace, Clarabelle, and others put on a concert to the "Poet and Peasant Overture."
The appearance of a full moon over the old mill pond inspires much comic "bad singing" amongst the flora and fauna living there.
Title tells all here, until the festivities are interrupted by a "scary" octopus.
Riding in on Horace, Mickey enters a western town, fails to impress a Mexican Minnie with his mischievous antics, but succeeds in saving her from the dastardly Pegleg Pedro.
Polar bears (including a cub who looks exactly like an albino Mickey) cavort in the midnight sun, joined by walruses, seals, and penguins.
A spider seeks shelter inside an old toy store, where he soon discovers that the merchandise comes to life after dark.
Mickey, Horace, and a motley crew of firemen charge to a burning hotel, where Mickey ultimately rescues Minnie from the flames.
Mickey, Minnie, Horace, and Clarabelle are off to a wild barn dance. There Mickey plays the harmonica and dances with gigantic Patricia Pig, then joins Minnie in a duet on "Pop Goes the Weasel."
Mickey's a prisoner on jailer Pegleg Pete's rock pile. In a riot, he escapes, but when he's pursued by the jail guards' hounds, he jumps on a pair of motley horses who finally return him to jail the hard way.
Monkeys and apes swing through the trees to the usual mix of classical tunes and standards; including this time the recent vaudeville hit "Abba Dabba Dabba."
Beppo the Gorilla has escaped from the zoo, captures Minnie, and ties her up in her own attic. Mickey hunts down the attacker, plays cat and mouse, but finally captures the ape.
Mickey and Minnie go picnicking but make the mistake of bringing Pluto along. The hound chases rabbits and damages Mickey's car; meanwhile, animals ransack the picnic lunch and Mickey sings "In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree."
Final "4 Seasons" short. Synopsis: Various animals frolic in the new fallen snow, skating on an icy lake to tunes which include "Jingle Bells" and "The Skater's Waltz."
Mickey and Minnie are out West, then attacked by Indians. Minnie is captured and Mickey is, too, when he comes looking for her, but she escapes and rescues him; later, they disguise themselves as soldiers and scare the entire tribe into the hills.
The God Pan flits through the fields, coaxing music and dance out of the flora and fauna, who cooperate well. Maybe too well when a dancing thundercloud bumps together, producing a lightning strike that threatens to burn everything down. Fortunately, Pan's musical charms are able to lure the flames into a nearby pond where they are safely extinguished.
