I'm sure the actors/writers/production crew/etc have fun making these types of episodes, but they always feel like a gigantic waste of time as a viewer.
WTF was that??? A story and everyone acts it out in 1940's era gumshoes!! Seriously?! what has this got to do with the storyline?
Aarg - it's a cross over (semi) musical / fantasy / retro episode. And it's only season 2...
I get that people in creative industries (like script writers) need to be creative. But surely the adult in the room could say "No!"
But in all fairness, it wasn't as bad as the equivalent episodes in other series. But Fringe is still at the peak of it's brilliance, so it is a little worrying to see this happening. I'm hoping it is not a sign of things to come...
