I’m so glad Ann simply laughed about the busybody next door.

poor marian though, she probably only wants respect its very relatable to stand in the shadows of your siblings and i also agree with kyria's comment about how anne maybe manipulating ms walker into falling in love with her seeing how she was traumatized, naive, guarded and never really see the world. i can't really tell about how much time passes but it seems like anne is barely giving ms walker any time to figure things out, it wad her doing all the work

This really caters to a certain lesbian fantasy of being taken in by an older woman who’s just sooo heads over heels with you. And I like “Miss Lister”, but if you take a step back or two, isn’t she grooming Miss Walker? I’m talking about manipulation. Im not sure I :asterisk_symbol:should:asterisk_symbol: like this as much as I do.

Oh my that was heated! Some very well shot scenes there between Miss Lister and Miss Walker. Really beautiful lighting and focus. The tension was built perfectly.

I really like the Thomas plot too. Poor lad was cursed with a terrible father and saw that as his only course of action. Hope it works out okay for the family :(

I really like that this show isn't just about the relationship between Anne and Ann. I'm honestly more interested in Thomas now after what he did in this episode than everything else.

So that's what they called it back in the 19th century
