I start to realize the purpose of the threesome among Meechum, Frank and Claire. It kind of told us that Frank and Claire took Meechum into their family or the complete trust and loyal.
Well, I found this rather boring to be honest. It's difficult finding any sympathy for any of those characters as they are all not good persons, really. So I don't care about Doug and his suffering.
From a season pilot I expect to get excited for the episodes to come and this did nothing in that regard.
hey dad? want a drink?
This season may not have quite as great writing as the first season, and overall, it's probably not as good (as most people agree) but what it is, is different. The first two seasons of this show are so similar to one another, but this third season just follows a completely different forumula, and that makes sense, considering Frank is president now, whereas in the first two seasons, he had been on the attack.
This episode, for me, is a perfect example of just how different this season is. For once, the main focus of an episode isn't Frank. It's Doug. Some people may say that this episode is boring, but I couldn't disagree more. I think this episode does a fantastic job of showing you the deeper side of Doug. We get to see him struggling with his addiction/sobriety, and we get to see just how dedicated he is to Frank, and also just how messed up that dynamic is. Aside from the Doug stuff, we also get to the first hints of how Frank and Claire's partnership is beginning to crumble. This episode has a lot that is very in-your-face, but it has even more subtelty to it. It's brilliant.
After finishing the wire, we return to this, Frank and Claire return to make theirs things
And how did they start the season?... With Mr. Underwood pissing on his father's grave. Nice touch.
I don't like Doug I find him boring and almost the whole episode was about Doug. So.. I will wait for the next one!
In Underwoodland, The Colbert Report still exists. #Underwood2016
Off to a great start with Frank pissing on his father's grave, great reminder that this is not a good guy :P
Can't believe it is finally out!
Just in case you forgot that Frank is a super villain, they remind you within the first three minutes of season three.

interesting to start the season with a homicide again, this time without blood or anything extremely graphic, but the stability of the couple that has been firm in the 13 episodes from the last season
