The fact that this episode ties back to the original movie is a nice touch. Kolchak is in top form here, manipulating everyone he comes in contact with. The way he juggles former newspaper reporter Faye Kruger and his boss Tony is classic. Lt. Matteo also fights to rid himself of the pesky Kolchak but fails. The female vampire is not exactly threatening but she does manage to rough up a few members of a football team. Kolchak finishes her off pretty easily.
