Man Chika just keeps becoming a more likeable character. He clearly has a heart of gold, with him even risking his wellbeing to protect friends of his best friend tetsuki from deliquents. And man, its clear Chika has a deeprooted passion for the koto after his gramps taught him it, and even though this current goal the koto clubb has seems impossible, he wont give up to perform his part in the piece and help out the team. It was so sweet learning that he make cardboard kotos to help the new members and himself practice there parts for the Reiusyugen piece they're playing for the school performance to save the koto club. Also, looks like there realaly is deep issues bettween Satowa and her mother (who teaches the Houzuki koto school), its clear that her mom's strict teaching style (while making Satowa skilled) was too brutal for Satowa, with her now completely abandonign her family name and not wanting to acknowledge it. That might also explain why Satowa seems like she's actively preventing herself from opening up and building more intimate relationships with the other koto members, with her acting so closed off from the rest of the club. And its weird cause she clearly does want friends in her life, with her regretting being so hard on the new members and thinking she may've pushed them away from the koto (like her mother seemingly did to her), and with her now joining a koto club to experience a team playign together and supporting eachother as they all progress towards a goal, since she never really got that experience growing up with people saying Satowa was too good for them and it wasnt fun playing the koto with her. Also man, Kurata is killing me, I wish he's get more confidence in himself and play more of a lleadership role in the koto club as the koto captain. Also, im liking the three new additions to the koto club, and im glad they started getting serious about learning the koto after realizing how good of a guy Chika was for them and wanting to support him (especially after the VP started shit talking them as just deliquents and saying they'll fail). The character dynamics are nice too, Im especially enjoying Sowata and Chika's relationship, with Sowata being reluctant to accept Chika as a koto player despite seeing hiow passioante Chika is for the koto, but slowly starting to acknowledge Chika as a koto club member after seeing all the effort Chika's putting to improve himself and the team (i.e cardboard kotos) with her giving props to Chika for his form, sayinh he had a good teacher. I' glad they're building a closer relationship with eachother, as they both start seeing just how much the other cares about, and has worked hard towards koto-playing (i.e Chika feeling Sowata's rough fingertips, which showed how long Sowata's been practicing). Also, man I hope the koto club blows away the school with there performance in 1 month, so that the koto club can be saved.
