Another solid episode of Kono Oto Tomare, Im glad the koto club is getting more in sync. Also, and I cant stress this enough, man I love Chika's character, just seeing how passionate the man is to understand the koto, the sound that comes from a group koto experience that his gramps stressed the beauty of, with Chika and the guys now getting in practice for there parts of the Ryuugeusein piece at the grandma's koto workshop. Also, I'm really enjoying Satowa's character, and liking the glimspes were getitng into her hsitory with her mother, learning about how hard Satowa's mom was on her, never accepting "i cant" as an answer and just pushing Satowa past her limits, ruining the fun of koto-playing for her. And its clear those memroies still are affecting Satowa, wiith her being innable to admit she doesnt know how to teach them how to get in sync and with her trying to take on everything on her own, refusing to ask help and admit she doesnt know everything. Though now, thanks in large to Chika letting Satowa know its okay to ask for help, she's becoming more open about herself to the koto club, admitting she doesnt how to teach everyone, and now the koto club can work together to solve their issues. Also, im glad Kurata is acting alot more like a club president know, making inspirational speeches to get the team's moods up, giivng advice to Chika and the others, and just generally helping the team out. The three new guys are sweet characters too, Im glad they're working this hard to improve as koto players for there buddy Chika. Also man, was Chika's playing at grandma's koto workshop beautiful, I hope we hear more of that gentle playing from Chika later on. Also, Im glad Satowa finally learned the truth about Chika's incident, maybe now she'll be more willing to accept Chika as a club member.
Everyone's relationships and motivations are coming to light, very well fleshed out for this kind of anime. Definitely interested to see where this goes.
