What a beautiful climactic episode, both for the koto club as a whole and the main characters. For one, I'm glad Satowa finally realized she misjudged Kudoo (after learning about Kudoo's real backstory), and she is now making more of an effort to show that she trusts Kudoo with the koto instruements, which is essentially telling Chika that he's a true koto player and that she accepts him as one. I'm also glad Houzuki now understands she doesnt need to dive head first into everything by herslerf, that she can now rely on and work together with the koto club as a group to solve issues and imrpove themselves. And the moment when she started playing louder so that everyone else could match her pace was really heartwarming, it shows she's no longer just focused on herself but now she is seeing and working with everyone else as a team. Also, I;m glad Kurata is resembling a club president alot more, as he's gained more confidence in himself and is now proudly asserting how much he cares about the koto club to the school assembly, rather than just cowering in fear and embarrasment. Also, I really liked this hgrandma character who slowly warmed up to chika and the others, and what she said about the koto, how its essentially a way to communicate feelings you have without words, and tell your loved ones what you deeply feel. Chika most definetly understood that with his solo piece in the school performance, with his solo telling his gramps that Chika understands the joy and beauty of playing ensemble koto with people you've spent time with and care about, and he gets how valuable the people in his life, like tetsua and gramps and now the koto club are, how they genuinally care about him and want to see him do better. It was a beautiful gentle sound that perfectly communicated Chika's feelings he has about everyone in his life. Also, man was that ensemble koto performance beautiful, the audience was clearly taken aback by the piece and so was I. I loved how the show portrayed how the piece was reaching everyone with the koto playying transsforming into a dragon reaching into the audience's hearts, communicating the koto club's deep feelings to the audience. And man, I wish Chika's gramps could be here now to see how far Chika's come.
