Teresa Mendoza receives a call that gives her the news that her husband has been killed and is now going after her. Seeing her life in danger, Teresa begins a frantic escape to save herself from death. He seeks help from Epifanio Vargas, head of the Culiacán cartel, who tells him to go to Spain to try to hide. She lands in Melilla, where she will start working as a waitress in a nightclub, and where she will meet Santiago Fisterra, a man who will change his life forever.
