FINALLY we get some backstory as to how Riley became a Phoenix member! I also actually don't mind Macgyver turning down this darker path - it's new, so it's interesting. But I think Lasky was his first intentional kill of the series , which definitely means more than what's been shown for his character... Or, at least it should. Just a couple of episodes left of the season, so I'm keen to see where Oversight's message takes him.
Also, it was bugging me for the longest time, but I've finally figured it out: The actress that plays Kai is also Emiko from Arrow! That's why she looked so familiar to me :')

Oh fuck Mac. Well I did say he was going to go a darker path fighting codex. but damn I I did not expect that at all..
now what he did wasn't wrong and it was necessary but s01 mac wouldn't have done it I actually expected the boss to do it..
