worst scifi series of all times...
This looks very, VERY interesting. The information i could find about this French-United Kingdom co-production was very sparse, at least in English. Even IMDB who usually is to go-to website for rare tv shows or movies seems to be at a loss over when it is supposed to be airing. I heard people saying November 2012, but i can't be certain.
Anyway, what makes this tv show so interesting? A portion of the stories which are gonna be in this tv show are based on the stories from the science fiction and fantasy comics magazine Heavy Metal. Some people might know it from the movie that was made in 1981 Heavy Metal: http://trakt.tv/movie/heavy-metal-1981. But most likely most people will know Heavy Metal from that one episode in South Park: http://trakt.tv/show/south-park/season/12/episode/3 (just a hint, watch the original. Compared to the movie the South Park episode is a travesty).
So what can we (hopefully) expect? A mix of science fiction and fantasy, wild stories that speak to the imagination, and awesome battlefights!

An anthology series of really short (20 minutes) adaptation of scifi/fantasy stories published in Metal Hurlant. It's hard to make an interesting story in 20 minutes, but some episodes work beautifully while others fail miserably.
Effects are usually well done though a little short on budget I guess. Acting is usually pretty poor but some real actors prestations are worth it: Joe Flanigan, Rutger Hauer, John Rhys-Davies, James Marsters.
As expected from short 70's fantasy stories, characters are mostly stereotypes: heroes are super badass fighters, girls are super hot, alien villains are super ugly.
Episode quality varies a lot, but season 1 is pretty solid. Stories work well, character are interesting, and there's often an interesting twist at the end. Season 2 is several levels below. Stories are mostly boring, they didn't manage to compact enough interesting stuff in the given 20 minutes like they did on season 1. Characters are poorly written, and even if they tried to keep the ending twist thing, it almost always fails as you see it coming from the first minute, unless it's totally unrelated stuff that makes it more weird than interesting.
It's really too bad they could not keep the same level of quality as season 1, I would have been up for several seasons like this.
Best episode: Shelter me (s01e02).
On season 2 almost only the last one is worth watching.
