The best Announcer of Korea, Go Hye Ran is living a good life. However, troubles occur within her perfect life. Including her husband, job, and mother, she is at risk of losing everything she had until now. To regain what she cannot lose, Hye Ran must have an exclusive interview with the pro golfer Kevin Lee.
Hye Ran does her best to protect her position as anchor on “News Nine”. She manages to invite Kevin Lee for the program. However, as it turns out that he was once Hye Ran’s lover, Lee Jae Young. While Eun Joo has no idea what happened in the past, Jae Young provokes Hye Ran on the live interview.
Eun Joo and Kevin’s scandalous photos cause a stir, so Hye Ran takes the chance to solidify her position as the main anchor of News Nine. After coincidentally running into Kevin, Tae Wook asks Hye Ran if she really doesn’t know him. Meanwhile, Hye Ran is ordered to go to Thailand and conduct an interview with Kevin alone.
Tae Wook is suspicious of Jae Young and Hye Ran. The growing suspicion tortures him. Eun Joo also gets the feeling that her husband is distracted by someone else. Jae Young’s series of actions make Hye Ran nervous, and Hye Ran gives him a warning.
Rumours about Hye Ran being the main suspect of Kevin Lee’s death spreads beyond control. Tae Wook is troubled by his suspicions held against his own wife, but he decides to protect her in the end. Meanwhile, Ki Joon finds something odd about Eun Joo as he tries to convince her into agreeing on the autopsy of Jae Young’s body to find out the exact cause of death.
Even after receiving the autopsy result, Ki Joon still thinks that Jae Young has been murdered. Seeing Tae Wook doing everything to help herself, Hye Ran realizes that he really means to keep his promise of protecting her. However, an unexpected variable awaits ahead of them.
Eun Joo hides her disappointment at Hye Ran’s betrayal and approaches Tae Wook. As Ki Joon chases after Dong Hyun, he finds out that Hye Ran has visited him before. Meanwhile, Hye Ran learns that another person has been nominated as the government’s spokesperson and takes action to stop it from happening.
Tae Wook's unwavering love and support for Hye Ran enrages Eun Joo. Meanwhile, Hye Ran is designated as the Blue House’s spokesperson despite her alleged involvement in the death of Kevin Lee; and now she prepares to deliver her last news once and for all.
Hye Ran gets arrested without warrant as a suspect of Kevin Lee’s murder. She tries to call Tae Wook, but he doesn’t pick up her calls. JBC’s office gets under search and seizure by prosecutors. Song Yi tells Tae Wook that she thinks all of this was caused because Hye Ran reported the news about the corruption of Kanghae Construction and Hwanil Steel.
Hye Ran returns to the newsroom and prepares for revenge after being released from custody. Eun Joo, who lost everything she had, sinks into an abyss of despair and tries to kill Hye Ran. At that very moment, Myung Woo suddenly appears in between them.
Hye Ran tells Tae Wook about her past with Myung Woo. Tae Wook regrets that he didn’t entirely trust Hye Ran when she first told him that she didn’t kill Kevin Lee. The vice president of JBC offers Chief Jang’s position to Hye Ran in exchange for her favor. Meanwhile, Tae Wook’s mother tells Hye Ran to leave Tae Wook.
Tae Wook shows up in front of Hye Ran as an attorney working for Kangyool. The atmosphere between Chief Jang and Hye Ran intensifies. Dong Hyun attempts to kill Hye Ran and Tae Wook. Detective Kang sees Myung Woo walking out of the hospital and feels something suspicious about him. Meanwhile, a witness attends Hye Ran’s trial.
The witness attending Hye Ran’s trial says that he saw someone killing Kevin Lee and getting paid by Hye Ran. Tae Wook senses something suspicious about the witness and tries to prove him wrong. Hye Ran prepares to strike back at those who accused her of Kevin Lee’s murder. Meanwhile, Tae Wook requests a new witness during Hye Ran’s second trial.
As soon as Oh Min Cheol has been found guilty of perjury, Kangyool Law Firm passes the buck to the prosecution and blames Woo Hyun for the witness’ crime. Woo Hyun finally realizes that he is being manipulated by Kangyool. Hye Ran and Tae Wook make the promise of a fresh start, but another dead body is found.
Hye Ran begins to think that something is suspicious about Tae Wook. However, she tries to ignore the evidence pointing at Tae Wook as the real culprit behind Kevin Lee’s death. Eun Joo protests in front of the broadcasting station that Hye Ran is not innocent. Meanwhile, Song Yi gets taken to the hospital after meeting Eun Joo.
Tae Wook finally confesses to Hye Ran that it was him who murdered Kevin. However, Myung Woo turns himself in to police for Hye Ran’s sake. He meets Eun Joo and asks her to forget everything and start a new life of her own. Hye Ran and Tae Wook ask themselves—what was the happiness that they both dreamed of?
