Eila, Unilever is telling social media sites to clean up their acts, and the company could soon put its money where its mouth is! Unilever is one of the world's biggest advertisers, spending almost 10 billion dollars a year on ads, 25 percent of that on digital. At a recent conference, the company threatened to pull their ads off platforms like Google, Facebook and Twitter. The reason? They claim the sites have become a swamp of fake news, racism, sexism and extremism.
