Most boring Episode so far - Not really a new story, I already knew what would happen when the children were scorned for going outside the villages boundaries. No idea why it had to be stretched over a full episode, could have been told in 5 minutes...
And what is it with the yes or no bullshit? Makes the "kids" look like total morons unable to understand that life is complex. People usually get that at age 14...
Funny, this was a little long winded and predictable. The reveal was fairly likely to be true from the 2nd episode or so.
Despite that, it was incredibly well done. This was the most plot filled episode by far. No stupid snowflakes. No annoying family "intrigue". No useless side story. 100% main plot.
Too bad it took until the 8th episode...

I do really like Alice, but it’s a “little” problematic, although understandable, that she’s also just using the kids for her own goals. Be they the same as her species or not.
And I don’t buy into this trope of “hey we raised you for 17+ years but actually you aren’t our biological kids oops we lied” type of villainisation of parents. Excuse you, they’re still your parents who loved you all your life. Suddenly a mysterious stranger shows up and that’s all forgotten? :rolling_eyes:
I really did not enjoy this one-sidedness. We don’t even know how much Fred and Dee knew.
Also a little strange they would learn to love baby warlocks but hate every “other” monster indiscriminately? Muh.
