Enies Lobby brings more of the emotion from Water 7 as well as well-choreographed battles, and a satisfying conclusion to the Water 7 saga as a whole. Robin is the one that shined the most throughout this arc as we finally get an insight into her intense backstory. Franky also gets his time to shine as well, but doesn't come out of the arc nearly as different as Robin. I don't want him to though, he's perfect as-is. Though the only reason this arc is as long as it is is because of an increased amount of filler. Most of it is actually pretty entertaining, but the recap episodes were a slog. I am always okay with filler as long as it is as entertaining as the regular episodes, but they clearly didn't try with the recap episodes, and that's episodes with an s by the way because there are 5 of them which is an ungodly number and they didn't even bother re-animating the flashbacks to scenes that were 4:3 adding in an awkward border.
So far my favorite season. Its got it all. Fun and creative enemies, heart retching backstories, lore as deep as the Grand Line, and new abilities and fights that keep you pressing "Next Episode".
